The identical triplets were born Wednesday at North Shore University Hospital on Long Island — an event so rare that an obstetrician estimated it might happen just once in 200 million births. The mother, Allison Penn, was inpregnated with only one embryo through in-vitro ferilization, said Dr. Victor Klein, a specialist in multiple births and high-risk pregnancies who delivered the boys. That embryo split in half and then one of the half split in half again.
My opinion in this situation, is that she has been blessed than the amount she expected. This pregenacy was also very rare to even happen. Dr. Victor Klein explains that this kind of birth might just happen once in 200 million births.
